QuoteI'd love to have some 1/720 airsip models like the R-100, R-101, Shenandoah, Los Angeles and Akron/Macon. One of these days I'll get the 1/350 (I think) Graf Zeppelin and Hindenburg and bash them into a Los Angeles and Akron.

Brian da Basher
On that same subject line, but in 1/72 scale, complete with a tank of helium to make it float or if you are doing the Hindenberg, a tank of hydrogen to make sure it burns properly...

Actually any WWII era and early cold war era non-rigid airship would be most excellent in 1/72nd or 1/48th scale.  I remember Combat models produced a vac-formed Skipjack fast attack submarine model and that would have been an excellent conversion to a non-rigid airship if you turned it upside down as it already had the right tear-drop shape.

I'd settle for a 1:72 scale kit! I know theres a resin out there....

Did not know about the resin kit but I have seen the Vacform and I just passed it by.

To build that baby would involve so much work that you could claim it as a scratchbuild.

DO you mean a resin kit of it or Thorvic's project that he let on about at the Coventry show??
