First coat of primer applied. Some small areas need a bit more filling and sanding but I've definitely got the look I was aiming for!

Sadly not. I'm not much use with such things.

Would you like to have a bash at creating one for me?

Wicked! Or as someone else would say, AIRPLANE PORN!

John Howling Mouse

Superhuman blending ability.  Totally unfair!

Ah...I have these builds-in-progress you might enjoy doing the ol' PSR routine on...

Styrene in my blood and an impressive void in my cranium.

Man, that's just superb!

For the backstory, a Rockwell fighter would be cool (something post XVF-12, in the 80's... Rockwell entry for AFTI, Tigershark competitor, or a design made by a US ally (South Korea first atempt, long before the T-50...)

King Arthur: Can we come up and have a look?
French Soldier: Of course not. You're English types.
King Arthur: What are you then?
French Soldier: I'm French. Why do you think I have this outrageous accent, you silly king?

Well regardless I would rather take my chance out there on the ocean, that to stay here and die on this poo-hole island spending the rest of my life talking to a gosh darn VOLLEYBALL.

Getting there slowly! Some more progress pics.  Canopy now tinted and attached.

Thinking of calling it the McDonnell Douglas/Boeing F-101X Intimidator

Just a thought, use the extended burner cans from the F-101B, but replace the nozzles with F404 nozzles (there really was a single-seat F-101 flown in a similar configuration with J79 nozzles).  If you want a "sexier" look, work over the nozzles with a file to get the chevroned look of a LOAN (Low-Observables Axisymmetric Nozzle) for each.

Small update. just got to affix the undercart and she'll be finished.

The Stars and bars have been bleached by the camera flash so look a little odd. Once the model is complete, I'll take some pics outdoors so the real colours come become clearer!
