Hmmm very interesting Alvis. What kind of paint scheme are you planning for it? I've no doubt that you've got some cool maple leaf roundels set aside for it.

Alvis,

Cool work there.  It does look good and it "feels right" given the SSC "backstory."

But, I also have to point out that you had to use up a Lief for this rendering.

That's no small thing to do that!

Some might go so far as to consider it sacrilege!  Others would be stunned that you'd sacrifice a $300 - $400USD eBay item for a whif!

In any event, it looks good and keep on sharing your progress with it.

Well, it would have been MY Lief to chop up eh? :(

But actually, I merely used an intact Lief as reference. All the non-X-15 bits were scratchbuilt. The bulges above and below the fuselage are 1/32 scale F-16 drop tanks.
