This one is a puzzle that has creeping around in my mind in pieces for some time and has finally spoken up to reveal it's true form  . I was unhappy about the results of a bashing between an F-14 and F/A-18. I also have an extra set of burner nozzles from a 1/32 F-15E that I have been wanting to build into a powerful brute. What came to mind was something akin to the Foxbat. With the pieces from a 1/48 Super Tomcat, Hornet and bits and pieces from a F-22, F-4 and others, I have come up with.....something.The intakes will be like the B-70 or Typhoon. This one is big. I took a photo of it next to my Scooter as a size comparison. I know I have a lot started already, but this one was too good to pass up. Wait to see what I'm going to use for the engines. :)

Ah, modeling by demonic possession always yields bizarre and beautiful builds.  Now that they've been exercised, it's now time to keep them at bay by finishing it!  And keep the rear-ward shark's mouth, it just adds that extra "BL-OW!!" to the model.

Not a bad concept but I personally feel that the rear end is a little too 'busy', if you know what I mean!  :)

I agree about the tail. Sometimes I have to put something there to get a feel for what "they" want. ;)   I've already 86'ed the bottom elevons. A little refinement to come.

Shas,
I'm trying not to be too obvious about the flanker influences. I think the intakes are going to break that up a little. I'm looking for a type of surface that provides lift as well as air direction to the intakes. The MiGs and Flankers seem to look that way as well, so no getting around I guess, plus the main influence to use those engines is the Mig 25.
