I figured we might need one thread to combine our 'Silly Week' comments, so here goes..

Today some guy called Chris has a Strikemanster bearing an uncanny resemblance to Falcon's from last month!

Super nice looking whif 'Super Kingfisher' too.  do we know this guy?

And of course no day of silly week is complete without Alvis'-today's build was apparenty inspired by some guy in here who likes spats...anyone know who that is??  :D
So I got that going for me...which is nice....

Keith Diamond

yeah, it's always interesting to see Whif modelers take over the ARC main page around this time of year
Man, we should have cloned twenties. Jackson wouldn't have given a poo-poo.

That "Super Kingfisher" was quite striking. I think it's a combination of the prewar Navy colors with the brutish airframe of the Corsair and that big ventral fin. It was the shiznit, so to speak!

Nicely done ole chap! Very good indeed!

Okay Alvis, you had be BUSting a gut, and that line about the sailors and 'Monica' was a ripper! Bud's bomber was great too, one mean bad-donkey bird!  :dum:

yep, another good showing today!

Bud's bomber is awesome, and Alvis' little details like the dog leash disappearing into the engine and the lipstick on 'Monica' are great.
So I got that going for me...which is nice....

Keith Diamond

Yeah the Monica piloted by Capt L. Tripp based on the USS William J Clinton was hilarious!  Not to mention using markings of the VFA-22 Fighting Redcocks!!!

Dont forget that dave Bailey wierdo...he's got a nice looking build up today too!  :D

As for the Lightning...I dont remember seeing that particular one before.  It's a nice looking build, though the wing looks a bit far forward in the unswept config.  Looks like the center of lift/center of gravity may make for an interesting ride!    .

Still...it beats the hell out of my VG Lightning, and I love it!
So I got that going for me...which is nice....

Gentlemen, today was exemplary! A finer batch of what-if/sillyness I've not seen on ARC in many a moon!

Yet, oddly, there's barely a peep in their discussion board on it. Could it be ARC has gone off to total serious mode? Hope not!
