Most of the decals on - those NATO stencils took two evening sittings and shed load of patience and still some of them have 'silvered'. The landing gear is very complex on the real thing but on the kit it can only be assembled completely and accurately by somebody who has far, far more patience and skill than I, not to mention a degree in engineering and an extra thumb on each hand ! <_<

Just the weapons to paint ant attach - I'll be off to the paint-shed late next week for this, hopefully be able to undercoat the Tiffie at the same time. And then matt the whole thing down next weekend. Just in time for its' debut at Bolton.

Anyhoos, here's the pics, enjoy - oh yeah if anybody is interested the Kuwaiti markings are from the outstanding Eagle Strike Mirage F1 sheet 48-255. And YES I do have a back-story, but you I won't post that till it's finished.

Thanks for looking. As usual all comments welcomed.

I see no silvering of decals.
I see "art."
I see one fine-looking model.
I see that I'm going to have to go sharpen my knitting needles now, too.

On silvering decals:
I've been reading how more and more modelers seem to be foregoing the ol' MicroSol-MicroSet routine and instead using wet Future/Kleer to lay decals down with zero silvering.  I still don't know how this could work when you can't press the decal down on wet Future but many swear that the final brushing of Future right after you've positioned the decal is all it takes to make any decal snuggle right down and no silvering occurs. :o

I don't think it's nice, you laughin'. You see, my mule don't like people laughin'. He gets the crazy idea you're laughin' at him. Now if you apologize, like I know you're going to, I might convince him that you really didn't mean it.

King Arthur: Can we come up and have a look?
French Soldier: Of course not. You're English types.
King Arthur: What are you then?
French Soldier: I'm French. Why do you think I have this outrageous accent, you silly king?

Well regardless I would rather take my chance out there on the ocean, that to stay here and die on this poo-hole island spending the rest of my life talking to a gosh darn VOLLEYBALL.
