Hi all,

Right, last pics for tonight! I've gotta work in a few hours, dammit! :P  Enjoy, you kind bastards!

Unfortunately Photobucket is acting up a bit for me, so I have to attach 'em the old fashioned way. Very, very lengthy backstory to follow with the "real" pics tomorrow or Sunday.

K5054NZ

This bird has been fun, except for the green-in-the-yellow episode. Very nasty and much cussing on my part. My profuse apologies to luvly_lana for having to put up with it.

Flash being what it is, and these pics having been taken inside, the camo is a tad washed out. However, it illustrates well the tonal qualities dear Brian (hi bro!) mentioned above. Apparently somewhat of a trademark for me! ^_^

I'm gonna do a review for MM on this bird, as (shock horror!) Scott hasn't yet got around to building his one. Besides, he said himself that whifs add some nice variety to his mix of a/c! :P

K5054NZ

And that's her! I'll take some nice, outdoor shots tomorrow and then add the u/c and do some more - maybe with the Weta if you're lucky! Now I'm off to join another forum member in bed..............no, not Gary!

Night all, and best wishes from the 54NZ household!

Cheers,

Zac

Is it me or he finished it in only... 2 days???

And what a beauty, I really love the yellow strips!!

Just a question: were did you find low-viz Kiwi Roundels? I'm looking for such (or even Astralians') for months, but I can't find any in 1.72 in France...

Nice job Zac and LOVE the colors on that!  The yellow bands really set it off.

What sort of problems are you having Zac?  I ask since I recently had problems and was able to solve them with the help of Archibald.

BTW, nice Hawk.

Greg
All hail the God of Frustration!!!

Brilliant bit of work Zac. Neat way of making the lox viz decals look good, I like it!!!

My thought exactly. That is one good looking bird and I bet it just zips around the livingroom at low level ;)  :)

Sure is a lot to like about this one, Zac!  Sharp-looking cockpit and those canopy frames have GOT to make you feel proud, eh?

The yellow bands will sure make it stand out on the display shelf----are you going to put it on some kind of in-flight posed stand?

As they say in Alberta: "Good on ya, mate!"

Sigh........inflight woulda been great, but she now has wheels. I seem to have gotten into a real "as they sit" kick, which kinda sucks as I didn't get to do too many flight trials with her! But the ones I did participate in were wicked fun!

Baz - proud is an understatement! I am overjoyed with that canopy! Just so PERFECT! And fun...........yes, masking is fun! I love it!

PD7 - A little longer, but yeah, I love speedbuilds! I just wanted it done, especially when  it came to the u/c. The decals were part of a set Gekko sent me when I was on my TSR.2 kick. Still have a few up my sleeve for some future projects.....hehe........

Lancer, Eddie, Baz - The Yellow was total hell! It wasn't totally dry when I masked it, so there was a "neat" textured surface which I touched up, which was really bad as the brush wasn't totally clean. So voila - lime-green tinged fuse bands! ACK! But luckily I piled it on with a cleaner brush so now It's All Good!

B777LR - Thank you. The highest compliment a whiffer can give! ^_^

Rafa - you're too kind. Their very existence makes Hawks cool!
