Wow, what a nasty brute of a plane! And I mean that in the best possible way..it really looks like a back alley boxer, waiting to pick a fight with anyone who comes along!

Maverick

QuoteMaverick, you're absolutely right about 1930's technology! I think that's why I love that era so much. There were so many interesting ideas bandied about that had yet to be proved or disproved by the fire of war.
hey BdB,

it was like that thread i mentioned with the naval officer that decided in the 30s that airpower was obsolete and that naval forces were the war winners.  He must have felt soooooooooooo silly Dec 7th, 1941 'a day that will live in infamy'

But you are right, the 30s stuff is just plane cool 'exucse the pun', i was playing with some pre-ww2 stuff mainly ground forces, sorta 'cold war of the 30s' this was way before i found this site and stemmed from just such tech marvels such as multi-turret tanks and all of those light tanks the brits seemed to sell to everyone.

What the ? Can't tell if this thing is coming or going!   :o   Effectively scary thing against its enemy.

I don't know who you are or where you came from mister, but you sure can build models!

To top it off, somewhere in Philly, there's piles and piles of leftover P-38 bits just waiting to coalesce into yet another masterpiece or three!
Styrene in my blood and an impressive void in my cranium.
