Using proven technology in both the jet field AND dive bombing, the SMD-5 exhibits a lack of range AND maneuverablity. A two man crew allows for dive bombing whilst keeping the tail covered during torpedo runs as well. The aircraft can carry both bombs and torpedoes at the same time, allowing multiple targets to be attacked. Unfortunately, only the pilot is afforded an ejection seat. Two .50 cal nose guns round out the SMD-5s offensive ability.

Many names have been suggested for the SMD-5. Here are a few:

Screaming Misfit Disorder
Slightly Misplaced Displacement
Should Move Downwards
Sarcastic Modelling Diva
Supercritical Miniscule Detail

That's just cool. I mean, really, really cool. The idea of a T-33 with a big honkin' machine gun sticking out the rear of the cockpit is actually pretty funny.

Really nice job on the dive brakes too.

Hate to let you down but they are jackals, not demons, although I'm sure anyone not on the happy end of the ancient Egypt religion likely would have found them demonic. The stylised jackal was found on some strange website ages ago...

What always impresses me is that your models are always such incredibly innovative concepts that I tend to overlook just how good your craftsmanship is, as well.

Once I've overcome the initial shock, I always have to go back and have a second look at the model to absorb just how good the construction and paint/decal finish are.

Going back for that second look now...
