On a serious note, I think working in a larger scale allows you to get that much closer to your models, they seem to fill the frame much better than smaller scale models and the whole sense of scale is subtly more realistic.

I think you should do more in 1/32 (1/24 even!)  You Luftwaffe modelers are spoilt in that scale these days.  Actually, you're spoilt in every scale, but thats not the point  :P

I shudder to think what you would achieve with a 1/24 Trumpeter 109....

Thanks for looking JHM, Greg, and nev!

nev,
Those 1/24 scale Trumpeter 109s are tempting but I have read where the aileron hinges are PE and a little fiddly to assemble so I will pass on them, also they are pretty big and take up a lot of shelf space.
What I would really like to see are 1/32 kits of the Ta 183, BV 211, and He 1078A. Most of the good Luft 46 kits are in 1/72 scale and so I expect many of my models will be in that scale. There is at least one 1/32 scale whiff that I will be doing late this year or early next year...a Fw 190D-9 with the big tail and and what-if markings.
