QuoteTophe, have you ever thought Zwilling carriers instead or aircrafts ?
No, I haven't. I am almost not interested in boats, trucks, tanks, sorry :( ... However, it would be funny to have P-82s (or He 111Zs) on a catamaran carrier, I agree... :)

QuoteJust love the German catamaran carrier! Hmmm... catamran Nimitz!!! Tophe, have you ever thought Zwilling carriers instead or aircrafts ?
hmm, the 1/720 italeri moulds of the nimitz class would be ideal for this.

think, you could have a floating version of the flightline at say nellis AFB,  :o  :D

There's tons of carrier models  at the shop... never built boats, but "zwilling" two Nimitz would be fantastic!

But this catamaran would have two islands (one on each side!!)
Better to have
- two islands on the same side (like the CVF !  ;) )
- Or, even better, a huge island build from the small two!

This could be a group build... catamaran carriers...
(I remember a project from the 70's  with Tomcat-look alike tail-sitters)

King Arthur: Can we come up and have a look?
French Soldier: Of course not. You're English types.
King Arthur: What are you then?
French Soldier: I'm French. Why do you think I have this outrageous accent, you silly king?

Well regardless I would rather take my chance out there on the ocean, that to stay here and die on this poo-hole island spending the rest of my life talking to a gosh darn VOLLEYBALL.

Well, I don't know about large catamaran aircraft carriers, but there have been a number  of proposals for a small one - see here.

There was also the Trimaran STAC proposal from AVPRO:
