QuoteWasn't Eddie? doing a Bi-plane racer P-40?

And yes the Arii kit is a gem.

*blink blink*

Double bad feeling - firstly i didn't remember Eddie's (Sorry Mr Miller), and secondly i totally poached his idea (sorry again Mr Miller).

let me back off a few minutes and think of something else i could do to a P-40...

More than one way to skin a P-40 bipe. Eddie's is a cool concept but you could go for something more along the lines of the Curtiss XP-23 or the Beech Pursuit concept.

Curtiss XP-23

thanks jon, some pretty cool ideas there - the biplane that i was thinking of would have been rather like an xp-23

maybe even with spats, although i was thinking maybe finnish with skis.

Spats are always a great idea! It's a proven fact that spats increase the coolness factor of any aircraft by 1000%!

I love spats!

Radish

I was thinking "ornithopter" in 1/72nd scale

Wow what a cracking idea, Radish! I would love to see you enter that in this GB. The more imaginative, the better!

Hi all,

Heck, Brian you know I love P-40s, so I'm in with at least TWO Curtiss-Fairey Kittiwakes, possibly more if I can scrounge up enough Academy P-40M/N kits.

And Lana says she'll be in with her Hasegawa P-40E. Go Lana!

See you all where we join in saying "I LOVE P-40S!!!".

Cheers,

Looking forward to this one - definitely thinking of a P-40Q with Turbo-prop.

Think this:

Jeez, that P-40Q really is a hot ship! I had her on Flight Simulator a while back, wow that was fun to toss around the sky! If anyone has a spare kit of it then please let me know..... ^_^ ....

Go for it, Greg! I can't wait to see it!

Hey, that Beech pursuit is really cool B)

Just for inspiration, I include this post here:

BTW: some of you mentioned the Academy kit. What you see in my post are Novo kits that came from old Frog. This last was a decent kit when they appear and it can be done today. Novo copies are dogs because the styrene are worse, more fragile, and are uncarefully molded. I think the Academy kit comes also from Frog molds. I presume that Academy in their begin took molds from Frog and Hasegawa and cleaned them in some way; in my opinion, Avenger, Ventura and Wildcat fall in this cathegory too.

May I put on my thinking cap?
