and theres a nice light in the top of each cabinet, so it lights up nicely at night

There is never enough sun in denmark for that to be a hazard though    

Sun is strong in winter, however it comes in from the side, and a house will be shading mostly

Sun not so hot in summer  (if you stay indoor)
