I forgot to post this Go-229 because it was done, 10 years ago, almost OOB; so I considered it as "Real World" but "in service Go-229" is whiff, in fact.

The only whiff is armament: 4x30mm MK 103.

Some weeks ago someone in this forum asked about PM's Go 229. This is Matchbox reboxing. You can see it is not a winner but can be done. BTW, cockpit detail and pilot are on me: undercarriage was so bad that I decided to show it flying.

From time to time, I build a flying jet because I think there is something special with this kind of models. Even if a plane, a bird too, is usually on ground its natural status is flying. I definitely like flying jets. But stopped propelers look odd to me, in flying propeler planes.

I really like the aggressive look of the extended cannon barrels.  Makes the wing look even more predatory.   :)

This is a little gem, Carlos. While the model might not be the best there is, you certainly gave it life with your paint scheme and assembly.

OK, I know I can't stop scratchbuilding. Someday, I will build something OOB....

You did a fine job of fitting the gear doors in the closed position. I agree the landing gear on that kit leaves something to be desired, the model looks very nice with the gear up.

Thanks to all of you

PS. Hi matrixone

Have you ever made one of your wonderful photos with a flying model?

ysi_maniac,

I build most, if not all, of my models with the gear down so I don't take many in-flight pics of my models but here are some I have done...

At a later time I do plan to do better detailed in-flight pics, but as usual with me time is a very big factor in what I am allowed to accomplish, I never have enough time to do all the things I want to do.

Ten years ago you were already this good?!

Ah, this makes me feel better somehow!    ^_^

I will catch up!   ;)
