Hi folks,

Has anyone built a KIWI WINGS 1/48 CAC CA-13 BOOMERANG?  I'd appreciate your thoughts/reviews etc.

I've heard they are extremely rough and near impossible to get togther.

There are a couple of Kiwi Wings kits kicking around one of my LHSs and after looking in the box I decided not to buy either of them. The instructions don't appear to be much help either.

Afraid not Mr Castrol - only ever seen one build review of a Kiwi Kit and that was the CT-4 Airtrainer. Review was in Dec 2006 SAM.

Overall the review comments "not a kit for the beginer", "frustration factor quite high" "worth persevering with" "good overal accuracy"

I know it's not the kit your looking at but hope the above helps

Do not condemn the judgement of another because it differs from your own. You may both be wrong.

GTX, if you use lots of putty, and an open cockpit, and spats, mr. Spatman will be VEERRYYY happy!  ;)

If I get it, I was thinking more along the lines of an Australian Emergency Carrier fighter to protect convoys.  The story would involve the RAN modifying a transport into an emergency escort carrier and some Boomerangs being suitabley modified to operate from it.
