Looks I have some serious cleanup to do!  100 soldiers went out the door on Saturday, but I am still reeling from all of the paint everywhere...only 400 or so left to go:

Captain Canada

I don't have a workbench  :(  I carry a piece of wood covered in crap to and from the living room when I want to build something.

Yours looks like a Jekyl and Hyde kinda thing.....all neat and tidy on one side, and a complete disaster on the other ! Mind you, the artwork is kinda hot.......

What are all the soldiers for ?
CANADA KICKS arse !!!!

A friend of mine in Vegas commissioned 500 and something Samurai soldiers for a wargame...they are tin/lead, with lots of fiddly bits.

Yeah, it  is a bit like Dr. J's place...though, usually the left side isn't so much of a disaster!

My workbench is the old tennis-table... table in the attic. I've cleaned it the other day - it was covered with bits of paper, cardboard, plaster, sand, rocks, plastic, styrene and tons of others things (including Reglisse).

I've cleaned the mess and only retained tools, paints and some kits...
King Arthur: Can we come up and have a look?
French Soldier: Of course not. You're English types.
King Arthur: What are you then?
French Soldier: I'm French. Why do you think I have this outrageous accent, you silly king?

Well regardless I would rather take my chance out there on the ocean, that to stay here and die on this poo-hole island spending the rest of my life talking to a gosh darn VOLLEYBALL.

I can't find my workbench....it's covered in paints bits of paper, mounds of plastic bits, kits, ......love it!!

So I'm (was ?) not the only one... a messy workbench is a huge source of inspiration  ;)

I work on the floor. The wife says thats where all dogs belong and that I have a filthy habbit...thats why I killed her and stuffed her into a 1/48 Hasegawa A-4 box to appease the modeling gods and spilled blood in the name of the carpet monster...

...seriously though I do work on the floor as I don't have a table...yet :)
Try not. Do. Or do not. There is no try.

Greg, considering the amount of product coming out of the Cephalopod Works Factory, I'd say it's not so bad.  ;)

I have to haul my stuff out to the kitchen table and swear upon eternal suffering not to get any glue, paint, etc. on the table. I then have to clean up afterward. It sucks when you get in the groove and have to stop to clean up for dinner

On the other hand if I'd get off my lazy butt and clean out the spare "hobby" room that has been nothing but storage for the last three years I might be able to avoid this inconvenience. This is on my "TO-DO" list for this summer

Didn't realise you painted soldiers Greg ? What are you working on at the moment ?

Do not condemn the judgement of another because it differs from your own. You may both be wrong.

Well I thought I'd resurrect this old chestnut, as it's been allowed to sleep for a while.

Here's my workbench this morning:

As you can see its' sole occupant is a 1:32 Ki61 - no not a What If - in fact there's no What Ifs in the 'to-do' pile either:

Not that I've fallen-out with What If, I just don't have any inspiration to build a WhIf just now. That will almost certainly change after the weekend, I'm sure .......

Mine gets hideously cluttered, although in all fairness, I DO clear it back to the bone in between projects.

thats my philosphy too..........before i start something everything gets put away where it belongs............mind you, within 15 minutes most of it is out again  ;D ;D

I do the same - clear out my work space before I start a new project. By the end, I usually have less than a hand's width of clear space.
