Tsr.2 Main Gear

I'm trying to fit part 51 and 52 of the kit: the Y-shaped items that are supposed to go on to the main gear. Thing is, I can't work out where to put them. There's no position that makes sense: I've always got at least one leg of the Y hanging in midair. I've got a photo of the real thing, but that's not helping either.
What to do?

I think it intended for the top of the Y to rest on the bulkhead in the wheel bay with the straight edge towards the fuselage side and with the tail meeting the side of the main U/C leg.
