My F/A-18-Fn (French Navy)

The Armement:

2 Magics, supplied by Pollux Delta Seven
2 AMRAAMs also supplied by Pollux Delta Seven (the same goes for the decals)
2 Nuclear cruise missiles from my old Mirage 2000Ns (thought they where conventional ASMs, until i asked archie what they where  )
1 Drop tank

To be added: 2 Sparrows

Nice one, Trip 7! Those Aeronavale markings are set off very nicely against that gray scheme. Good work!

Nice.  Although personnally, I would have gone for the darker grey like the F-8FNs.

Ah yes, the ASMP (Air-Sol Moyenne Portée) - I always liked that weapon (Mach 3, cool looking etc.).  There's no reason whay you couldn't say there was a conventional warhead version.

You mean like this:

C'mon, you just had to know I had one somewhere in the boneyard

Nice job on yours, Trip, though I don't think LGB's and AIM-120's were meant to be used on the same pylon  :dum:

the F-18 is the VERY old academy 1/72 (blue angels boxing). It looks more like F-17 than F-18 (did they convert a F-17 mold to F-18?)

The EA-6FN is the old 1/72 Hasegawa EA-6B :)

I was gonna say, that canopy looks like the smoke coloured one from the old Hasegawa one.

Looks good, needs some French ARMs, though.  I did up an RN one with some Alarms.  Funny thing was it was painted about the same colour

I like your french Navale Fighters, B777LR!!!
I specially like the way you used the twin launchers for the LGB and AMRAAM. Very, very, very Whiffy, and adds to the menacing looks the ASMPs give to the aircraft.
The red trim on the intakes are a nice touch. Me, a non-accomplished painter, can't come up with a little detail like that without smearing everything else in red!!!

An that A-6 is a wonderful Whif, Too!!

Congrats, my little friend!!

With that load-out, you've managed to make a Hornet look menacing....no easy feat.

Cool!

Wow!!!
Very cool!!!

Glad to see that the weapons, decals and infos (for the EA-6 squadron markings) I sent to you were used with such talents!!!

And don't worry for the ASMP missiles, a conventional warhead variant was studied for both anti-ship and stand-off air-to-ground use, but the most stelathy (but less fast) Apache/Scalp/storm Shadow was developped instead.

I really appreciate the look of your fighter!!

Hehe, need i say that the F-18 in Battlefield 2 inspired me for this scheme ;)

I like your Aeronavale's planes, above all the F-18.
