Might find it's a bit of a tight fit on the flight deck, trying to get past the island, while the deck might not be up to the landing stresses.

Yes, there was a BAe 146 study for the US Navy using the Hawkeye radar, as part of the MMVX project. (see 'the Admiralty and AEW')
