Taken at an Air Base, somewhere in England, this P-75 fighter/bomber escort is kitted out for another mission.
I thought of doing the shot in B&W but liked the colour better.

Model : P.75 Eagle
Figures : Some from Monogram B-24/ others from ICM US Army Air Force flight and ground crew.
Tractor and Bomb Trolly : ProModeler.
Scale :1/48

Coo, how did you make the plane?

Great composition!
Styrene in my blood and an impressive void in my cranium.

Looks great - even if the original did look like an aircraft designed by a committee of acountants!

Your close, the Fisher div. of GM came up w/this ugly duckling in order to get out of having to build B-29s.

Another shot of this beautifully designed aircraft. How it was constructed? well.......
the fuselage, tail and inner wing...SBD (Hasagawa) the outer wing panels..P-40 (Airfix)...the main undercart Corsair...and the props from a P-38. Nose and intake wood...canopy I think, (if I remember) SBD, and the rear, clear acrylic. I'm not sure why this beautiful plane has never been built from a major kit company, so they built 14......and lost 14. Just looking at it, I'm sure that if any RN pilots had have seen it, they would have thought, "If we had designed it, we could have put it on a carrier and called it a Wyvern!"

I've never thought this version was that great, but the 2nd incarnation is neat. There have been 2 kits of it, a 1/72 vac brom RarePlanes & a resin one, recently, from FE Resins, IIRC. Nice job on this one tho.
