Thanks Steve!

This weekend I have a few places to touch-up on the Stukas paint job and then will paint the exhausts and tail wheel before putting the gloss coat on and then the decals! :D
I will likely take a pic or two of the models after the decals are added and post them Sunday night.

So jealous of your close control work with an airbrush..... I'm trying so hard to get to that point !

Superfantabulous!!!
I agree with the guys. The faded looks of the paintjob on the stuka might actually do the job. I look forward to see how you achieve the mud splattering. I really, really like it.

The scwalbe is going to have a forward bomber post, isn't it? It is already gorgeous.

And I remember a third companion to this subjects, I believe it was a high altitude job. Whatever happened to it?

Sure is going to be a set of spectacular Matrixone™ patented photos, worth framing and exposing. I already have disk space reserved!!! :D

Thanks Ian and Rafa!

Ian,
I use Model Master enamels and they are easy to work with to get a fine line and spatter free mottling. The key is to get the right amount of paint/thinner ratio, I have no set rules for that except if it looks right in the paint cup it will spray just like I want it to.

Rafa,
Yes the Me 262 is the glass nose bomber version, I want to mark it as a KG 51 machine but I have a large amount of decals to sort through and am not sure yet if I have the markings I need.

The He 100 H-1 has been put on hold until the 262 and Stuka are out of the way, the He 100 will require plenty of carving, putty, and sanding to blend the big wings to that tiny fuselage. A lot of work yes but if I can build that thing I will have a one of a kind model on my shelf.
I will be building a 1/48 scale P-40 along with the He 100, they will be finished sometime in June but after that I will be forced to give up whiffs...because by then the new Dora book by Jerry Crandall might be available, and if it is, the rest of the year will be spent building Fw 190Ds. I have been buying a lot of Fw 190D kits, decals, extra paint, glue, and Mr. Surfacer to prepare for the Dora building frenzy!

I love Dora!!!

And a series of Doras would be fine, too, even if they're not whiffs

Rafa,
I will build a few Doras but I have a LOT of ideas for my what-ifs and will return here with new what-ifs late this year or early next year. If only I had more time to build models I could build some cool what-ifs.

No new progress on my models this weekend because of extra time spent at work so here is a pic from last Sunday.

Thanks for the kind words Sisko!

New job duties will slow my model building for a short time but its a good thing and I am having fun doing it.
