Some self-explanatory pics of a long-term project, that I've posted before. Got to the point now where I can finish off a couple of tiny details in the cockpit, then finish painting/dry brushing the seat. After that I can add/mask the canopies and get an undercoat sprayed on  :o

Comments, criticisms and questions are always welcome, thanks for looking.

Try not. Do. Or do not. There is no try.

Filler?  So, my pair of Mono F-5E's were not alone in that issue....   <_<

Looking sleek and deadly so far.

There is something about the nose of that jet that just makes it look slippery and nasty...very nice job !

Shasper

Yes the nose looks great.

Looks to me that Monogram based their kit off of F-20 no.1, which had a different radome (IIRC more in line w/t F-5E sharknose). Whenever I get around to building my RoCAF F-20 I'm gonna try and mock-up a resin replacement of the sharknose to see if it looks like the one fitted to the later prototypes.

What scheme you got in mind IHG? Could I suggest a retro Fw-190 look w/t black eagle headed-exhaust stripes down the nose?

Still looks great, up to your superb standards!

Evenin' all.
Well instead of helping our reident Kit Slayer prop-up the bar in 'The Guest House' (proper drinking establishment, one tiny wee TV, no carpets and usually three or four guest ales - I don't drinkem' but Dork seems to thrive on the stuff), I wasted my time by spraying paint all over the place.

The F-20 is now wearing a coat of Humbrol #001 - apparently a new formula undercoat. Not worth posting any photo's it's just grey at the moment.... I'll pencil in the camo pattern next week when it is thouroughly dry. Shas It's going to be a tac-recon configured machine in the German equivelent of the Euro 1 wraparound scheme. Nev.... erm, no, why do you ask ???

I also sprayed the cockpits of three (yes three) real world subjects - All 1:48

Not bad for 90mins or so on a warm spring afternoon ;) .... I'm in work now and looking forward to an 'interesting' night.... Ahh well !

Ahhhhh, well believe it or not there's a bl**dy gret joint there. for absolutely no apparent reason - other than Monogram perhaps ripping-off part of their existing mould of the F-5E/F the whole rear section is separate; reminded me of the same companies' outstanding F-80 kit from the mid seventies.... but I digress - it appeared when I was test-fitting it all together, that the joint was going to be a reall filler magnet, but it didn't work out that way at all, quite an easy PSR job.
