OK, the overspray effect is seriously cool, I hope your not going to paint over it  :o

Always love to see your work!!

I have that kit and this has been good for me to see what it is like!

I gotta agree with BlackOps, that overspray is killer! I hope you keep it!

Sorry to dissapoint guys, but that isn't deliberate overspray, it's just where I didn't mask. I will remask the light green then define the edges of the next colour with Blu-Tack and spray again. No overspray on the Luftwaffe Norm 83 scheme !

Oh yes: EXACTLY what he said!   Can understand you wanting to "normalize it" but man, you now have a one of a kind artistic piece there now, unique among models.
Even the existing pencil lines for the next color could be embellished with narrow but varying width ribbon of slightly darker green paint.

Ian, if you're really not going to do yours this way, can I do one just like it?

I'd certainly give you credit for the overall idea.

This is one of those "happy mistakes" fine artists dream of.

Fantastic!

I'm gonna join Barry in the can we borrow this technique crowd. I really like the effect.

Ian, I kinda knew you were gonna paint over it but it just looks so cool.

You know, if that was presented as the final paint scheme IT WOULD DO IT FOR ME!!!

Hey All

Word.... Y'all know me, if you want to copy/adapt/develop anything that I have done either deliberately or accidentally, then GO AHEAD   . I'm not a prima-donna and would be pleased-as-h*ll if somebody here could finish a model using this 'Technique'  ;)

Phil
I remember that two-seater being posted here before - I guess it was you who posted it before - Mine is going to be in that scheme/colours. Thanks for posting the 'refresher'

I have been considering making a two seater F-20B, just that I have no idea how to build or kitbash the second seat.  Do you suppose they used an F-5F cockpit?

Either ask Evan or look simply here.

All hail the God of Frustration!!!

Yep, they used a F-5F cockpit. The area around that specific bulkhead (Evan would know more about this as he's the one who brought me to enlightenment) is the same as in the F-5E/F, therefore you could swap-out the fwd fuselage of the stock F-20 for an E or F front end.

My next 48th F-20 (for the monogram GB on ARC) is gonna have a similar treatment.
