Even though I have mountains of refs on F-4s I'll be damned if I can find the range of a Toom with wing tanks and a bombload of 6 500 pounders on the belly.  I'm looking for something along the lines of 400nm radius with reserves in case we meet a bad guy along the way or have to CAP afterwards.

And if I do have to add the centerline tank could I still carry 4 AIM-9 with a TER for the bombs under it?  I'm thinking yes but would have to drop/jett the iron to shoot the Snakes.

Help please!

I'm not sure you can find 'one' answer to that question.  There are literally dozens of variables involved, and it's not a simple calculation.  It has to do with atmospheric conditions, the flight profile of the mission, winds, etc, etc, etc.

Suffice it to say, it's far enough to mess up the bad guy's day :)

A centerline tank would make carriage of anything else on that store station impossible, but the inboard hardpoints could possibly still carry Sidewinders and a TER each.  If this is a whiffy configuration I'd steal the combined drop tanks/stores carriers that the French use (used?) and put those under each wing with four 500lo bombs and then either a third one on the centerline or a full centerline tank.
