Colours For Banff Strike Wing Mossies ?

whilst Extra Dark Sea Grey has only ever been used by the Royal Navy.

Apart from virtually every Coastal Command aircraft from 1940 onwards (Beauforts, Sunderlands, Catalinas, Liberators, Fortresses, Lancasters etc etc) and a  large percentage of long Range transport aircraft (The rather nice EDSG/Dark Slate Grey over Azure Blue scheme).

DSG on the other hand was barely used - only on the lower wings of bi-planes/sides of fuselage as part of the shadow compensating scheme for EDSG upper surfaces

Problem was EDSG was prone to fading - colour shots of Banff Mossies show a very patchy scheme. Added to which a lot of the photos are taken in a very yellow light that passes for daylight in these climes at this time of year!
