I always thought the F4B was a fairly attractive airplane, especially the later models with the faired-in engine cowling and spats, but that's HIDEOUS!

Well, I'll agree that a NACA cowl and spats would definitely help it's appearance.  I wouldn't call it hideous, though; distinctive, yes, hideous, no.

You'd think the USN would have better security at the time tho, so as to not let Great Grandpa HM sneak into a hangar and T-tail a perfectly good aeroplane !

Holy crap, Jon. Where do FIND this stuff? I've never seen this one before.  Bizarre is a word-and-a-half for the airplane. Too ugly to model, but I would reconsider if I knew what colors it was painted in!

The way I find most of the weird, while looking for something else.

I think it may inspire a mod of the Classless Airframes P-12E.

Hideous to some, but I find that '30s aircraft like that have a certain charm (call me a deviant if need be ).
