I'm cutting plastic on something kinda like a Saro P.192 giant 24 engined flying boat:

I found the picture on the web, so it's only link so I don't crash the guy's bandwidth, but it's a link worth clicking on!  The rest of his slideshow is a cavalcade of whiffy airliner goodness, too.
I am wondering if there were any real aircraft or other projects with similar rectangular leading edge intakes, and exposed exhausts running on the surface of the wing like this monster had.  I vaguely remember seeing a Grumman Panther study with 6 engines that was set up like that but I'm probably deluding myself.  I'm really just trying to get the rectangular slot looking like, so I'd like to see any similar leading edge oil coolers, etc.
Thanks in advance,
Andrew

Well, the Nimrod,Valiant,Vulcan and Victor had that setup but only with 4 engines in each case.

The prototype Valiant is very, very close:

The other V-bomber intakes are a little too sculpted for what I think I'm looking for.  I really appreciate the suggestion- I'd dismissed them out of hand based on the later versions I was more familiar with.  Keep those suggestions coming!

I don't think it's nice, you laughin'. You see, my mule don't like people laughin'. He gets the crazy idea you're laughin' at him. Now if you apologize, like I know you're going to, I might convince him that you really didn't mean it.

Don't forget the Armstrong Whitworth AW.52 which is a surprizingly large aircraft, going by the 1/72 scale model I picked up of it the other day.

Ah, thanks Robert, that's one of the bells that was ringing!  The pre-running design of the AW.52, the AW.50, had more rectangular intakes:

Andrew, if you've got Project Cancelled & BSP: Bombers, theres several designs in those that have leading edge intakes.  If not, I can scan some for you.

Probably not what your after, but the English Electric P.10 had intakes & exhausts stretch across almost the entire length of the wing.
