Finally located a kit yesterday, and started the molding process:

I am assuming wing mounted.  Going with the double bubble like the 38 or just a GIB?

Neat idea.

Kind of a mix between the Moskito and the Corsair nightfighter...some receiving antennae, but with the wing pod...single seater, lots of rockets, and a change out of guns.

Looks very intriguing, Greg! I've never imagined the P-40 as a night fighter. This should be very interesting!

Greg,

Interesting concept - look forward to the final result.  I assume you would also be adding flame dampeners?

Can't remember who it was, but somebody (i think on here), did a twin stick P-40 nightfighter variant called the 'Kittiwake' IIRC.  One seriously interesting piece of hardware there, total whiff and totally awesome.

Hey, that clip ain't meant for holding plastic parts........

;)

Nice work so far ! As for the radar pod castings, you made two halves that you need to glue together ? I've got a kit for casting resin, but have been too chicken to try it yet.....

:o  :o  :o  :o How DARE you!!!!! The Kittiwake was the naval version, licence-built by Fairey!!!!! Not some rag-tag two seat nightfighter! For shame!!!!! :P

^_^ I like this concept! Looking forward to seeing the end result, Gregman!

Sorry 'bout that Zac.  Do you recall the twin seat nightfighter tho?  It was a sweet build.
