Notice, dear reader, that Toad is totally focused on the beer.

Looking good Toad! It made my morning to see you back plugging away at this one!

I think focusing on the beer is a good thing!

That stinking Holsten is 7%......pretty much had me swimming after 3 tins ( plus the stuff I drank at buddies earlier in the afternoon.... ;)  ) and now I've got a bloody hangover !

Yep, Holsten is a German Pilsner beer and like all German beers strong and very drinkable.

Small update....but at least it's proof that I'm actually working on it !

Glued in the bomb door covers, added the struts to their openings, and Brian's already in the cockpit awaiting his check ride ! Should get a bit of painting done today/ tonite.

Nice progress, Cap'n! I really like how you've modified the nose and made that radar fairing too. You've already done this Sterling far more justice than I would be able to!

Oddly enough, I can't find a stinking H2S blister ! So I'm gonna scab one from this 72nd scale Airfix Canso.

The kit bombs are being modified as depth charges.

...would have had a "unique" cure for the abnormally long landing gear---the bent-wing of a F4U Corsair! The 1/72 Stirling and my 1/32 Corsair seemed a good what-if fit. I'm not sure what the "oil cooler intakes" might have become, if anything (hmm---HVAR rocket-launching-tube sites??), but the LOOK of the bomber was awesome (IMHO)!

Pardon my crude drawing--this was just the mind-picture jotted down hastily.
My mind is like a compost heap: both "fertile" and "rotten"!

I have the following H2S fairings in the spares, all 1/72.

Matchbox Wellington nose mounting
Matchbox Lancaster  belly mounting
Matchbox Halifax  belly mounting

The above are molded in regular styrene.

Airfix Lancaster belly mounting, molded in clear plastic.

I'm willing to donate any one of these, if you would like to use it.

I still have these, if you want one.
