So I got a Lindberg XB-70, some missiles, and some decals from BDB. I went the "Gerry Anderson" route ( especially reverse anything you can- up dihedral becomes down, swept-back becomes FS, etc.), changing the intakes, painting her silver, and creating the Soviet Tu-122 "Buxom" intercontinential supersonic bomber. (Of course, the "Buxom" was obviously back-engineered from the "Valkyrie".)

She's almost together- I ended up adding a pair of tailfins from some 1/72 Soviet fighter, and a cockpit from a Snap-Tite 1/72 F-18. I also added a Soviet X-15 equivalent, made from a couple of missiles I had floating around my spares box.

She's pretty.

Wow, good work so far M3, looks like a cross between Soviet real-world 'Valkyski' designs & Firefox!  Keep it up!!!
I don't think it's nice, you laughin'. You see, my mule don't like people laughin'. He gets the crazy idea you're laughin' at him. Now if you apologize, like I know you're going to, I might convince him that you really didn't mean it.

Yowsa MMM those are some great modifications! I'm absolutely amazed at what you've done  with this! The canards, tailfins and new canopy really make this stand out! I can't wait to see your next update.

Anybody else thinking without the missile on its back it could pass for a Firefox derivative  :o  :D .

Looking good anyway

Yes, I noticed that myself. This is a fun model to "fly" :f16:  around the studio, BTW.

Okay, so I'm on my THIRD attempt to do a bare-metal finish, using Testor's Metallizer (Steel). Hope to get to decals by the weekend.
