Since I used the original jets, I've tried my hand at making some new ones out of F-4 drop tanks. Here's the intake. Exhaust tomorrow because I'm.........exhausted.

Nr 1 does it for me, that's for sure. But why keep an open nose like that? No need for an air intake after all. Or am I missing something here?

The new jet engine looks great . Might use that idea on a futur project somewhere.

Listen closely to the little voices in your head, Eddie:

"Monogram Mustang kits are so cheap---Do them BOTH!"
Styrene in my blood and an impressive void in my cranium.

Now there's an idea! The only bummer is it will cost me more in gas than the price of both kits!

Since I've thrash this airframe to the point of no return, I've put both designs on hold until I can get some virgin kits and do it right. In the mean time, my daughter put some strange magical beads in my hair and all of the sudden, they energized the voices to push me in another direction. I guar-ron-tee something you never seen before.
Here's the start.

Now, I'm very much liking the sound of that....  :drink:

The beads look good with the Tattoo's Eddie!
I don't think it's nice, you laughin'. You see, my mule don't like people laughin'. He gets the crazy idea you're laughin' at him. Now if you apologize, like I know you're going to, I might convince him that you really didn't mean it.

Hey neat your daughter has turned her dad into her mom..... do they sell men's hair products where you got those beads..... hey it's nice to finally see girls posting on this site ;D ;D ;D Sorry they were just hanging there I had to bust em.

We already figured out he was Thorvic's long lost brother

As for me, I like concept #1 in a bizjet kinda way.

Is that CA glue holding those beads down to what's left of your hair?

Anyhow, what are you up to, Mr. Miller?  A pull-push set up?  A twin-podded design like the Bronco but using a Mustang in the central configuration?  Or will this end up as some sort of Babylon-5 spaceship like Greg's 1:72 submarine?

a mustang with twin booms, a la P-38. if that's been done already, then the twin-pod Bronco design.

Some very good guess. I've kinda thought of making a more a fighter with bomber parts. I reconstructed part of the B-25 emppenage and am grafting it into the body.. The Mustang is very sleek to me. I want to juice it a bit. Nothing outrageous, I think...... ;D
