Nice work on both accounts ! Eddie...the lankystang is coming along nicely. Sequoia, that Stang of yours is pure brilliance !

Thanks Captain. I appreciate it. Sequoiaranger's Stang is a beauty, it's she?

I've cleared out the wings and added sprue for the base of the flaps and got the prop back together. More cleanup ahead....as always.

Watching you build one of these miracles is better than cable TV, Eddie! Nice work on the five-bladed prop!

I mean that in a good way!

I see lots of colors and patches of this and that. Isn't it amazing what all needs to be part of the model to make it "right"?I never have, but I should take a picture of the "final product" of some whiff just before the paint goes on. Looking at all the puttied gaps, filler plastic and hodge-podge of add-ons and sundry eclectic parts, it's sometimes hard to realize how good it might all be. Though all true "whatiffers" are good visionaries and have good imagination, to me there is always an anxiety that when all is said and done the model will be a dud.

I love that "magic moment" when the primer coat covers the model, and all those "blemishes" and variegated colors blend into one and the form takes its true shape to the eye.

Can't wait to see yours!
My mind is like a compost heap: both "fertile" and "rotten"!

You kitbashed the whole 5 bladed prop :o now I am embbarrassed I didn't do that on the Mstang. :banghead: :banghead:

Cool, I've often made this exact same remark!  And, with Eddie's kitbashes, this effect is at its very finest/most intense.

He's definitely the Magic-Miller-Man!

Thank you Gents! Between watching Monty Python, The Great Raid, and working a little plastic in between, here's what I've got before I go watch the Andromeda Strain. I saw it as a kid and it looks kick donkey this time around . Part 1 of 2 is on tonight.

The spinner is the inside burner can (sectioned as well) from a Hornet and a tip of a missile

Here's a better idea of the look I'm going for. The canopy is from a 1/72 Tomcat that has been sanded to remove the old paint and dipped in Future

Thanks. I was about 2 minutes from making the post when it came on, so I waited until the first break. It pretty good this time around. Much more sinister.

I couldn't agree more, Proditor! Eddie, this bird has such a lean, hungry, predatory look that it would make the enemy run scared and screaming! I'm amazed at how you always pull these beauties out of nowhere!

Incredible!

Brian da Basher

P.S. Have you decided on markings and a camo scheme yet?
