You may want to ask Comrade Anthony, the Group Build Commisar. Last I heard, he was going to post a poll of Group Build ideas and select the next one based on popular vote.

I hope your family weathers the storm ok Daryl.

Well it looks like the Spats! Group Build made it as a finalist! Cast your vote in the Group Build Runoff Poll. Maybe we can manage a second tie?
;)
Brian da Basher

P.S. Unless another volunteer steps forward, I'll be glad to moderate the Spats! Group Build and I'll even offer up a suitably spatted prize.

Haha mabye if there's another tie, we should merge the two GBs together

Imagine a high performance piston powered beast with 3-4000hp and a 500mph top speed and....

SPATS!

Ah, good.  The factions are mobilizing their campaigns!

Just so's ya know, if we get another tie, I'm going with the one who has a volunteer to be the GB moderator.  Right now, that's the Spats! GB ONLY.

Any volunteers for to be moderator for the Piston Perfection GB?

I've been thinking about the Westland P.12 idea a lot recentley, I'd like to to put this into the pot if this GB gets the go ahead.

I don't think it's nice, you laughin'. You see, my mule don't like people laughin'. He gets the crazy idea you're laughin' at him. Now if you apologize, like I know you're going to, I might convince him that you really didn't mean it.

There is something soo wrong about that P.12 that it's RIGHT! I really like the enormous twin-tail off-set by those very sweet spats!

C'mon folks, we're only three votes off!

I do like the idea of combining the two GB ideas though. Not sure how our Group Build Commisar or the Comintern would feel about that.

Fine by me.  Hobbes would be the one to ask about it, since he's stepped up for Piston Perfection.

If combined, both of you could be Mods if you'd like.  Doesn't matter to me one way or the other.

I'd have to put my thinking cap on for a combo-build.      I'd picked up a Ki-36 which is rather a weenie-mobile and had a little Claude shipping in from HLJdotCom.   But some modified aircraft from Dubya Dubya Eye might serve well.

Isn't that a round about way to somewhat enthusiastically say "I'll adapt"??

  and a Safe Friday to all,

Well, I think the subject of the two GBs would be hard to combine. My 'Piston Perfection' build sure isn't going to have spats, for one.

One option is to run both GBs at the same time. If we've got people participating in both, we may end up with lots of unfinished projects, though.

Mossie

Does this mean that you would have to combine rules from the two GB's, or just that the two would be moderated together, with each member being able to pick the one they wanted?  I think the latter would work better, as although I could do a P-12 with an improved powerplant, I'd like to stick with the real world from that point of view, it wouldn't change the look of the aircraft much anyway unless I put an inline on it.  A Pegasus might work, but something like a Hercules or God-forbid, a Centaurus  :o might tear the wings off poor Lizzie! :(

Although I might build that Hercules powered spit out of pure wickedness.....!!! :ar:    :ar:    :ar:
