Awesome paintwork Matrix, I so want to learn how to do this and get this kind of results!

Thank you Daryl and Jeff!

Yes I really enjoy using my airbrush, which is a Badger 150 with the fine needle and head assembly. I do have a Badger 100G but rarely use it, the 150 will spray very fine lines and holds more paint.

Thank you Brian!

This next weekend I should have this model a little more colorful looking.  :)

Damn flawless...!!!! Nice work !

Thanks Greg!

I am adding more weathering right now and will soon start painting the undersurfaces, I plan to have more pics late this weekend.

Got the undersurfaces painted and a little more weathering done on the uppersurfaces.
BTW, the Fw 190 in the background is NOT painted in some sort of freakish Tigerstripe camo, a few selected panels are pre-shaded with black and the model will be re-sprayed its proper RLM 76 white-blue, the plane I am doing has almost no mottling so a little pre-shading will help add some interest to the model.

Wow that looks like a million bucks, Matrixone! The yellow tail and undersurfaces sets off your expertly applied O.D. paintjob perfectly!

Thanks for keeping us updated on the Fw too!

Thank you Brian,

The next step with this model will be adding the painted over U.S.A.A.F. markings and then add the German markings. I plan to have pics of it a week from now.

I am also working on three Fw 190s, one of them (a Fw 190D-9) will be a whiff but is a Dragon kit so it is taking me a little extra time dealing with some of the gaps and seam lines. Once the Dora airframe is ready for paint it will be set aside so I can assemble my He 100H-1 project. :D

Matrix, she looks beautiful! I just love the paintschemes of the captured warbirds and I'm sure this one will make experts take a second look. Great work.

P.S. The Fw-190 really good as well.

You should sneak this one in over at hyperscale I bet it would make the JMN'S heads spin?

Thanks Casey,

You betcha I'm going to post this one HS, I am going to do my best to create some realistic looking B/W aged pics of the P-40 with some of my 1/48 scale Luftwaffe figures included. I am hoping to send a few experts running to their reference books to see if it was real or a what-if! :D

Hi M1
As usual a joy to watch how you bring the model 'alive' with such 'ease' - I know that what you achieve with an airbrush isn't easy at all - but all the same it is always great to see your progress from box to paintshop to (almost) finished model.

Superb work.
