Here is the inspiration for my build the very P-40-ish desert fox from Crimson Skies for the X-Box. Its not gonna be an perfect copy of the desert fox it will be a little more realistic . The kits that are gonna die to make this one include a p-40, P-51 and Me-109! I hope to have some pics up in the next few days.

Looks like an ineresting idea, Casey! I'm eagerly awaiting your next update. There's something so eye-catching about those desert schemes.

Nice one ! Does look to be an interesting build....kinda hard to tell from those two pics what she really looks like, so can't wait to see more !

I also noticed that the wing shape looks alot like a Banshee/ Panther type in that second pic.

Here is my first update its kinda hard to tell i've done much work on it, but lowered back spine is kickin my butt and i haven't even got to trying to put the p-51 wings on it. I can also add a mig-29 tol the list of kits that have died for the one but 109 may get a stay of execution. I still don't have much of a backstory yet. I'm thinkin an Irish lend-lease bird(from the usa) fighting in the Spanish civil war.

So it's just become very obvious to me why not one real  p-40 has p-51 wings...THEY DON'T FIT!!!!!!

It may have have given you problems Casey but I like what you've done to the spine.  I'm sure you'll find a way to get that wing to fit!
I don't think it's nice, you laughin'. You see, my mule don't like people laughin'. He gets the crazy idea you're laughin' at him. Now if you apologize, like I know you're going to, I might convince him that you really didn't mean it.

I'm with Eddie on this one! Casey hasn't posted a single project I haven't loved.

Made a lot of progress today! Nothing that really warrants pictures, I figured out the wings I can make them look like they fit by dropping the flaps. Found what I'm going to use for my "stabelators"   the horizontal stabilizers from the P-40 didn't look big enough so I went with ones from a P-47. Figured out my landing gear, as much as I wanted to put spats on it I think they wouldn't fit the overall look of the plane. Hope to have something to show pics of in the next few days.
