I thought about adding a rule like that, as it would be in true-blue whatiffer spirit, but I think that this GB should also be open to those folks who're JMN about certain subjects and butcher up several different kits of the same subject just to make one perfect model.

QuoteHow finished is it? Got a picture of the subject in question?
The two projects mostly done, is these two:

Maybe they are clearly beyond the allowed starting point, but I just wanted to check with you before I continue the work.

Yeah, I'd say they're a bit too finished to qualify, but they're definitely the kind of builds I'm thinking about :)

edit: Tweaked the rules out a bit to clarify on the use of in-progress models.

Would a whole hull from a ship model, but everything else from other models, count?

In want of hobby space!  The kitchen table is never stable.  Still managing to get some building done.

I remember someone (JHM?) linking to a similar GB on Starship Modeller several years ago.  Their variation was that everyone sent all their assorted junk parts to the mod, who sorted through them all, then posted a selection of bits to all the participants.  Any of the SSM guys like to further enlighten us?

QuoteWould you be able to use plastic card stock and resin parts?  I've a slew of boxes of bits for various projects kicking about and want to use them.

There's at least three projects that would fit into this category.
Yep :)

So admins, do ya think we've got enough participants to start an official GB?

I count eight interested folks so far. That's enough to get a GB off the ground. We've got the U.S.A.F. 60th Anniversary GB starting up July 4th and the 1 Week GB at the end of August and then the I Love Spats! GB starting Sept 1st. The calendar's a bit full but suggestions on the timeframe are welcome.
