Folks,

I was just browsing through the #1 issue of Aerospace Modeler I snagged via eBay when I saw the ad for this magazine; "World X-Planes" by HPM Publications.

I realize this might old news for some out there but this is the first I've heard of this magazine and the first I've heard of HPM Publications.

I'm hoping that I'm alone in this here and that some of y'all have more familiarity with these items.  If so, what's your opinion?  Are they worth it?  Are the other titles worth it?  Do tell!

Thanks,

Madoc

Well, what I've read of their work was definitely good.  Here's a source for more lnfo:

Mind you, I'm of the opinion, based on experience, that if Dan lists them then they're good and definitely on the up and up.

I've got HPM's books on "The Soviet Space Shuttle" and "Samolyot 346" (Soviet built version of DFS 346).

I think that the Space Shuttle book is out of print. However, although it's a small, 48 page soft cover, the book on the 346 is excellent, with an informative text and lots of photgraphs and drawings. If the other HPM publications are to the same standard then they're probably worth getting hold of.
