Sounds like an interesting topic.  Do we have a time frame?  I'd definitely like to join in.

Ed

Y'all need to get it voted in as the next GB first before we discuss time frame.

Yeah, that's important, if you intend to join in, you need to vote in the next poll that Comrade Anatoly puts up.  Also, if you don't want to join in but would be interested in seeing some weird & wonderful builds, please vote too.
I don't think it's nice, you laughin'. You see, my mule don't like people laughin'. He gets the crazy idea you're laughin' at him. Now if you apologize, like I know you're going to, I might convince him that you really didn't mean it.

that is earth based rather sci-fi.

Oh, I'd say they would be very sci-fi, just not of the Space Opera or Bug-Eyed Monster genres.  :dalek:

Oh, some of them, definately, at least I hope so!!!  Mine may be a bit more sobre compared to some, but of course most circular winged aircraft have been on the crazy side, or at least proved to be in the long run.  There's no constraint to this GB that says any build has to be capable of flight, just designed to fly.  The aircraft getting a few feet into the air before fluttering around crazily or crashing, or even not being able to leave the ground at all is fine!  Exotic methods of propulsion are encouraged too.  There's the paradox though that a handful of circular winged aircraft have flown very well, which is what I like about this genre of aviation.  If a backstory requires a build to be all singing & dancing, that's fine too.

Are you joining in Jon?  I'm sure with your archives & imagination you could come up with something suitably bizzare!

Okay guys, looks like we've got a GB going!  Due to start April 15th according to Comrade Anatoly, time to start gathering your bits & pieces together!

Not least Mossie, who's not quite certain what his going to be building yet.....

Maybe it's just the dirty old man in me, but my first thought at seeing the large domes was that they would look great holding up certain parts of female anatomy...

We don't just embrace insanity here.  We feel it up, french kiss it and then buy it a drink.

Just to let you know, im going to enter this GB. Found a perfectly sized and shaped lid for some kind of kitchen machine that had broken down, in the garbage bin (my mother must have thrown it out). It will be a gunship of some kind...

Hi Brian,
I will be using the lenses to form the main body, I have not decided on which size I will use.
Actually I'm kicking around just using the lenses as a pattern and vac-forming the actual hull pieces.

Jon

p.s. I do have a notion of what I'll build. ;D
