A Different Land Based F-18

Another idea I am working on:

A F-18 with single tail fin taken from a Viggen to make an upscaled version of that of F-20. Remember that F-5 is in the origin of F-18.

To give you a hint:

If the original F-18 looked like this, and iran bought it, would they convert it into a twin-fin hornet as we know it today?

Super-------looks like another masterpiece in the making.

I like the way it still manages to retain a "Swedish" look about it.  Like an updated Viggen, maybe.

Hmmmmm....move the wings back, put some canards up front?

This one will be only a different version of F-18. But you ^^^^ have given me an idea:
Before Gripen program started, SAAB was considering an upgrade of Viggen, I was thinking in different ways to acheive this upgrade.

Originaly McDonnell Douglas developed the F/A-18L (L = Land). It never went ahead though

The F-18L was actualy a Northrup development of the YF-17, however everyone that did choose the Bug went with the CV version. This caused some friction between MDD and Northrup over the royalties of the design.
