In Airwolf, there was often a lot of stock footage showing Soviet aircraft flying in formation, obvioulsy at an airshow.  I think it was usually MiG-21's, but occaisonally other types would creep in & they didn't always mention the right type (getting MiG-19's & MiG-21's mixed up & such).  Also, Airwolf was armed with most of the weapons then in the US inventory (not nessecarily suited to helicopters) & they weren't always used in the right manner, Sidewinders being fired at ground targets etc.  It always seemed to carry a lot more ordanance than it could fit in that fuselage & much larger stuff than could be fired from those tiny rocket tubes!

Still love it though!

Quoteyes , i remeber the "Hoplite as well, right at the end of the film.

the Dauphin was in an slightly earlier Roger Moore 'Bond' incarnation, just cant remeber which one, Possibly "Octopussy".
Thinking about it, the 'Hoplite' looked like one of the Polish license built upgrades. Can't remember their name off the top of my head. Wonder where they got an Eastern Bloc chopper back during the Cold War?

Think your right about the Dauphin being in 'Octopussy'.

QuoteNot exactly what-if, but the P-51s in Memphis Belle didnt have fuel to fly England-Berlin-England non-stop
Saw that being filmed at Duxford many years ago.
I think it may be a whiff to have P-51Ds though. The film was set in 1943, so IIRC it should be P-51Bs, or even P-47s pulling escort duty.

another thing, again from pearl harbor, did you notice that the japanese carriers had an angled deck, something that wasnt used till the 60's on modern American carriers.

then there was:

-Rutan ARES as a Me263 in Iron Eagle 3
-the San Marco Army MD-500 in the A-team
-Soviet F-4E's as MIG-29's in Iron Eagle 2
-the unknown Kfirs in Iron Eagle 1 & 2
-the unkwown AH-1's in Iron Eage 1
-the Mirage 2000-10 in Chevaliers Du Ciel
-the soviet A-4E in the A-team
-chinese MIG-23's in "tommorow never dies" (scene with british destroyer)
-Soviet C-130 in "licence to kill"
-the presidential Bell 222 in X-men
-USAF F-18C's in the rock and ID4
on the bench:

-all kinds of things.

The Mi 2 Hoplite was only produced in Poland, the Israelis captured some from various Arab states and
the helo was used around the world. In the 1990s PZL Swidnik introduced a new variant, the W-3 Huzar.

Also in ID4 Sikorsky S-61Ls as Presidential VH-3Ds.
The L and N model S-61s were built as passenger aircraft and have a stretched fuselage.

And the "Mig-23s" where in fact just Avia L-39s  And china uses neither :dum:

In die another day, a VIP An-124 is featured

Also there's the modified 747 with the odd engine arrangement in Casino Royale.  Haven't seen it yet so I have no idea what it's supposed to represent.

You have to see Casino Royale, Daniel Craig played 007 very well.

Ever since that one came out, I have been wanting to do one of these jets (easy enough since Revell has 747s and B-52s in 1/144) but with all the B-52 engines.

All of the A/C from the Iron Eagle movies were Israeli. The MiG-23s in Tomorrow never Dies were in fact MiG-23s, the L-39s were from the pre-opening sequence scene.

In LIcense to Kill, there is a OV-10, a Fouga & something else on the "soviet" airfield when the C-130 taxies up.

Don't forget the Canberras in the background of scenes in "The Dambusters".

I like "Dawn Patrol"...Errol Flynn and David Niven, etc., with lots of modified Nieuport 28s, etc..

Lost count of the amount of times I've watched The Dambusters & I've never spotted those Canberras!  I'll have to have a good look next time.....

Dont be fooled, its only featured in the filmfor about 2 minutes, and due to computer graphics, it looks much more different to the real thing :o

Let's see... T-6 use as a french fighter on the movie "la 7eme compagnie"
(the 7th squad)

British B-17 (in 1942) in night mission over Germany    in
"La grande vadrouille" (hilarious movie!)

Flying Citroen DS in "Fantomas" (just a model)

More to come...

King Arthur: Can we come up and have a look?
French Soldier: Of course not. You're English types.
King Arthur: What are you then?
French Soldier: I'm French. Why do you think I have this outrageous accent, you silly king?

Well regardless I would rather take my chance out there on the ocean, that to stay here and die on this poo-hole island spending the rest of my life talking to a gosh darn VOLLEYBALL.
