The featured aircraft this year was the DHC-2 Beaver, celebrating its 60th anniversary. Let's get things started with a beautiful example operated by Muskoka Golf Airways

Next up, a sweet 3-bladed job

Notice his little beaver stuck in the starboard window?  :P

What, no floats?!

An American visitor

The Ontario Government was a major user of both the regular and turbo

Not sure who owned this one

Sure, you can paddle it, but try portaging the bugger!

This beautifully painted bird was also in for last year's show

Nice Piper Cub Super Cruiser

Is there anything nicer than a wooden panel?

Air Canada brought its immaculate Electra

Seabee that dropped by. It's been re-engined with a Porsche engine, gets around the rather anemic performance of the original

Nicely updated instrumentation. The piston on the right supports the large front door, so you can stand up and start fishing as soon as you land!

Antonov 2 stopped in. Big, ugly, and keeps at least 2 oil fields in business.

The classic helicopter, a Bell 47

Don't know what's up for next year, but I'm determined to get on board as a volunteer and help out any way I can!

The AN-2 is definetly the most beutiful plane there

Do you have any close-ups of the Beavers undercarriage?  This is how I want to build one of my models.  There seems to be three different arrangements especially with the front nose leg.

If I'm not building models, I'm out riding my dirtbike

Unfortunately no. Do you mean the wheel or float arrangement?

Great pic's Rat! Funny how the lines of the Beaver isn't ruined by a TP like some other planes are.

Here's Derek in the Voodoo cockpit they have. It isn't a simulator, but was used to familiarise pilots with the cockpit layout, switch positions, and emergency procedures. Visitors are invited to climb in and have fun!

Here's an interesting little piece in the cokpit of the T-33, looks like an emergency knife for either cutting straps (but doesn't look sharp enough to me) or perhaps breaking open the canopy.

Here's two of the most dedicated volunteers at the museum, my parents! They are standing at the front of the photo, under the Arrow cockpit. Dad is 83, and tears down and rebuilds engines, operates and fixes the forklift, and does whatever else might be necessary. Mum is 84, and is known as the muffin lady. If there isn't a fresh supply of her home-made raisin muffins in the lunch room the rest of the volunteers pretty well 'down tools' until they are replenished!

Here's a nice car that showed up on the Sunday, a 1932 Buick 57-S

A little risque etched glass on the side window.

And on the back seat...  :o  Look pal, we can understand if yas don't wanna make a donation to da museum, okay? But don't be surprised if da boys pays ya a little visit later, know what I mean?

Oops, sorry, yes the floatplanes u/c. I was trying to determine how the front leg folds away, at least one (maybe two) of the arrangements looks like the leg folds into the float, whereas the others don't look like they do.

That depend upon the manufacturer and model of the float. On some Wiplines the front gear rotates forward, over the top, and then just kind of sticks up in the air, on others it tucks under.
