Here's a picture of my latest project, an ROCAF IDF II.  This kit represents the newly (kind of) revealed IDF, but Taiwan's AF isn't sure about using it or not.  I used the 1/48 Zhengdefu kit, which is a scaled up version of the 1/72 Kiddyland kit.  The project still has some more to go, namely the random fiddly bits like pitot  tube, various antennae, decals, and weathering.

Captain Canada

Nice one ! Love the lumpy look to her....makes it look tough and ready for battle !

CANADA KICKS arse !!!!

Long Live the Commonwealth !!!

One of the strangest looking (to me) aircraft in the world.

Look behind you!

Yes, this looks way more combative than it does out of the box.
Styrene in my blood and an impressive void in my cranium.

I like the look of the Ching-Kuo, kind of like a missing link between the F-16 & F-18. The conformal tanks do make it look a bit more ready for action.

A missing link between a F-16 and a F-18, that's it!
Brilliant!!!

Is it just me, or the Ching Kuo looks a bit like the Korean  T-50 ? ( I know that both designs are under US influence)

Hmm this model give me ideas...

Let's take F-5E, F-16, F-17, F-18 and F-20 designs. Found another Asian country which want to built its own LWF... and invent another mix of these five US fighters!

Korea, Taiwan and Japan already did it (T-50, F-2, Ching Kuo).
What country could do it ? Malaya ? Singapore ? Thailand ?
King Arthur: Can we come up and have a look?
French Soldier: Of course not. You're English types.
King Arthur: What are you then?
French Soldier: I'm French. Why do you think I have this outrageous accent, you silly king?

Well regardless I would rather take my chance out there on the ocean, that to stay here and die on this poo-hole island spending the rest of my life talking to a gosh darn VOLLEYBALL.

Cool fighters to work with. I am thinking about Northrop's P-530, and whole line between F-5 and F-17/18.
But I do not have quality 3-view drawings.

After production and engineering was over with the IDF, the same engineers went from Taiwan to Korea to produce the T-50.  The similarities between the two are astounding!

Of all the countries able to produce a new LWF on their own, there doesn't seem to be a real need for it.  Singapore has F-16s and the new F-15SG, Malaysia has new Sukhois in its inventory, and Thailand has F-16s as well.  Same goes for Indonesia.  Only country I can imagine going for a LWF would be the Philippines, but it would probably be cheaper for them to purchase something off the shelf than an indigenous design.
