As a light relief, I've abandoned the s;ightly "tweaked" builds...started a 1/48th Bf-109G-6 (Hobbycraft) which'll have USAAF markings, quite possibly 357th FG, 8th AF.....another contender for the same group might be a Tamiya Fw-190A-3 as I have lots and can't seem to sell them!
Mind you....nice to build!

Then for my Airfix spit 22s?
Luftwaffe markings.
Just moving things around....a quick exchange of colours.
Simple and silly, but hopefully, amusing and attractive.

the Bf-109 will be Olive Drab/Neutral Grey of course :D

Actually, a Bf109E in OD/NG wouldn't be a Whiff.  It would be reality.  There was one tested at Wright Field that was repainted into standard USAAF camo :)

That would be the one presented to the U.S. by the Soviets, i did it a few years ago in 72nd. But in operational marking...............good idea Terry

experience has taught me to expect the worst.

South African '109 or '190 could be nice, especially in that camo scheme the Sabres wore.....or how about the low-viz multi-grey scheme used by the Mirage F.1s in SA service? Wowweeeeee!!!

Iraqi ones are also "high" on my list

And there's always the USAAF low viz ones as Jennings The Geniuos privided for a Razorback P-47D and a  P-51D too     :salute:
