Just saw a VIH Cougar helicopters AW-139 fly over. Kinda chuffes as it wasthe first time I've seen one of that breed. Thanks go to my wife for first spotting it. Mind you, we're not at home but rather at the Kalahari in Sandusky, Ohio. And don't get me started on the bikini spotting !

Took a short holiday in the Norfolk Broads earlier in the week, nowt much early on due to Mount Ejyfi..., Mount Eyjafaki...., er, the ash cloud.  Later on contrails started to criss cross the skys, saw a number of KLM aircraft climbing out of Norwich Airport, also tons of CHC (S-76's I think) helicopters flying from the heliport at Great Yarmouth.
I don't think it's nice, you laughin'. You see, my mule don't like people laughin'. He gets the crazy idea you're laughin' at him. Now if you apologize, like I know you're going to, I might convince him that you really didn't mean it.

Buzzed by a  :tornado: on the way home at Market Weighton.  Not quite the van-rattling experince the last time it happened, but it was low, fast, & very loud!  There was a light aircraft around that probably got a mild shock too.

Saw a Tucano with yellow trim over the house which is unusual, often see them at York though (about 45 miles away).

Yesterday saw the Reliant Robin version of the Lynx (AH.9), on the way home again.  Not been a bad few days for being a plane-geek!

While washing the car yesterday a Cessna/Piper/etc... lumbered over, followed by a twin engine Airbus/Boeing, followed by no less than 4 E-2C Hawkeyes.  Later on we were treated to the nightly rumbling of the Superbugs out of NAS Oceana on there way over to the old decommissioned NAF Fentress field to do touch and goes.  F-15/16s from Langley AFB have joined in on the fun recently too.  Its a wonderful rumbling sound almost all night but with the low cloud cover you never get to see much.  I still love it though!

Indeed it is!   Was working on my car today (Mom's was yesterday) and a few more E-2Cs and a civilian helo went by.  I can't wait for the Warbirds airshow in a month.  They all fly over my area.  Nothing like some vintage radials to give that little chill

Went out @ 2 hours ago to do a quick run on my new motor scooter (and that's another story in itself) and saw a Boeing 747 outbound from Dover AFB.  Didn't see what the markings were - too much traffic - but it looked really neat against the clear blue sky.

Always something to see around here.

The really confused USCG helo from Selfridge made a visit out this way today (20 miles inland).

I was disturbed this afternoon by the very sudden appearance of a Chinook, that came roaring over the field outside my window at extremely low level - about the length of the aircraft! As quickly as it appeared, it had gone, disappearing over the brow of a hill.
Some of my models can be found on my Flickr album >>>HERE<<<

Saw a Chinook as well today, but it was about 3000ft up chugging along going back to Odiham if the course he wqas on was anything to go by. It waasn't over my house though I was on the A40 outbound from Headington again
