Yesterday this cool looking Bell-206 (G-JESY) overflew my house heading to the coast.
i like the paint scheme, reminds me of RedBull *angry mob appears , never say redbull and aircraft in the same sentence!*

and the morning, the local medical trust helicopter landed in a grass field only a kilometer from my house, unfortunatly i could not get a pic  :-\
but here's a pic i made some time ago at its base in Brugges

on the bench:

-all kinds of things.

This wasn't exactly today, more like last week, but there was something happening at the Enoggera Army Camp and these three helo's were taking turns getting the best view.
I'll call this one 'RED' as it is the Network 7 chopper.
Enjoy

Nice day for some proficiency training which is what I think the Basler Turbo Conversions ship was out doing today...either that or training a new owner/operator before they take delivery of their new ship. It literally flew down my street on its initial approach.

Its not the workbench that makes the model, it is the modeler at the workbench.

What a horrible thing to do to a '3'.
Today we have 'White', the Brisbane Nine Network chopper. the next one will be the other colour.

Glenn

OK, we've had Red, White and what's left.....oh yes, Tiny! Road reports belonging to a radio station.

Stargazer

Hawkeye, I love your photos, especially the first and fourth in this page's first post!

Hawkeye

Thanks Stargazer!

Yesterday the sky was a gray nasty mess, but Basler's Turbo Conversion Dak was out again training regardless. Note I caught the belly strobe firing between the flaps.

This is their factory demo/training ship.

All helicopters today.  On the way in to work, saw a yella Sea King more or less heading straight on at me, having just taken off from it's Leconfield base. It's engines were chucking out a lot of black smoke, that one needs a new catalytic converter!  Rare treat, an Apache about twenty miles further down the road.  Finally while at work a Dauphin went overhead.  Good day for spotting whirlybirds!
I don't think it's nice, you laughin'. You see, my mule don't like people laughin'. He gets the crazy idea you're laughin' at him. Now if you apologize, like I know you're going to, I might convince him that you really didn't mean it.

Only just found this thread -

My home was overflown at dusk by a Spitfire and Hurricane at 100ft a couple of months ago.  Made my hairs stand on end.  And if that wasn't enough, a couple of weeks later a De Havilland Dragon Rapide trundled past at approx 500ft going what looked like 30 mph! and later on the same afternoon, an Emirates A380 at it looked like it was going 30mph too (but several hundred feet higher)!

I think I'm plane'd out for a while ang it will be back to the A320s and 737s!

Hawkeye

Another helo making inspections...this one has a probe under the nose, plus a camera as well as some sort of sensor or imaging system on the left side of the aft fuselage. It spent considerable time flying back and forth and at times orbiting around me....big brother is on to me.

A couple of Grob's seen at Middle Wallop early on Friday morning, seems the student's do 13 hours in them to see if they have the aptitude for Army flying.

And the last picture is of a Gazelle in the distance

Not over my house or even near it, never mind not flying. I was sat in traffic and saw 6 6x6 military trucks go past me, along the A6 heading towards the M6 junction 29. They looked like the BAE systems FMTV. http://www.baesystems.com/ProductsServices/bae_mps_prod_fmtv.html
