I just saw a pair of CH-46 Sea Knights go over the house, barely above treetop level.

Yesterday (Sunday) a frequent visitor which I've posted before...the only thing different is...we saw clear skies and sunshine for the first time after getting two days of snow (another foot!) so the inspector had to catch up and do double duty visiting (flying past) twice in one day. Once for gas pipeline and then again for power line inspections.

Clear skies also gave me a chance to catch airliners flying overhead...this Air Canada B777 was idling along at 39,000 feet flying between Vancouver and Toronto.

Then in the evening while out for a walk in the park property behind my place I stood on top of a hill and caught this Allegiant Air as it arrived landing on runway 03.

Its not the workbench that makes the model, it is the modeler at the workbench.

Not having a camera sucks, Part XXXII:

I was riding through downtown Tallahassee a little while ago, and the Florida National Guard have set up a recruiting station outside the Capitol Building.  I saw various marks of Humvee, an HEMTT, at least one MRAP, and an MLRS.

Right outside my front window this afternoon, while I was on the phone of course, along cruises the Goodyear Airship 'Europa'! What a fantastic sight, specially for an airship nut like me.

Could I get off the phone in time to get my camera from the other side of the room? No way! The guy on the other end just would NOT stop yacking (you know who I mean OGL, don't you..........?) After a longish while I did manage to shoot the attached out of the window, but the cam would insist on focusing on the darn trees! On the original you can JUST read the 'Goodyear' on the side.

Kit's Rule 1 ) Any aircraft can be improved by fitting longer wings, and/or a longer fuselage
Kit's Rule 2) The backstory can always be changed to suit the model

...and I'm not a closeted 'Take That' fan, I'm a REAL fan! :)

Then this will make you jealous, take a while back over my house. It was here for AirVenture then stuck around for a few days afterwards based in Appleton. It was giving area dealers and their families rides as well as those in the media. It got annoying droning over the house as it flew back and forth!

The first pic when looked at real quick, seems like the house is just about to get hit by a bomb ----

But the others are great pics.

Does anyone remember The 70's Show episode where the guys are at the park at night watching for UFO's, they're lying on their backs watch the stars when Leo (the dope head) says he's seen a UFO, he says it had all these flashing lights on it and it told him he was going to have a --- good year ----

I had to mop up after that ---
If I'm not building models, I'm out riding my dirtbike

Was leaving this evening to visit a friend a couple of Super Bugs flew over low and slow.  I love to hear those guys

I took my nephews and nieces down to a nearby park to enjoy the warm weather.  If the wind's coming in right, it's a good spot to watch planes take off from TLH.  The last one out before we headed home was a T-38.

i was at a charity event in koksijde, to help a good friend raise money for the Make A Wish Foundation, the Seaking from the local airbase did a flyby, the personel from the base also made a generous donation to the event.
of course, i did a nice donation myself (50 euro's via bets, raffle tickets and drinks)

ps: this is the seaking in witch i had a ride in 4 months ago, but it has lost its 30th anniversary tailart (another seaking is goint to get a new paintjob this year, to comemorate the 35th anniversary)

Nothing quite so glamourous, but a paraglider flew very close to the house taking advantage of the unseasonably good weather.  It taking three weeks for them to get anywhere he was visible for a long time, although I didn't think to take a pic.
I don't think it's nice, you laughin'. You see, my mule don't like people laughin'. He gets the crazy idea you're laughin' at him. Now if you apologize, like I know you're going to, I might convince him that you really didn't mean it.

Not great pictures - it was overcast - but I took these from my balcony this morning as the President was taking off for LAX:
