Its not the workbench that makes the model, it is the modeler at the workbench.

Didn't have time for pictures but the BBMF roared over my house today from their engagement in London. Could hear those Merlins (and Griffon) a full minute after they had disappeared! Had goose bumps!

We've had some rainy weather of late, but as soon as it breaks someone is out to get in some flying. These taken at dusk as it was working the pattern..specifically a left downwind just before turning base for runway 30.

A regular at our airport is FedEx and their Airbus...been trying to get a night shot of it as it departs over the house...getting closer to finding the right settings.

I spent yesterday afternoon at Levy Park with the family, playing softball.  During a water break, I watched a gray C-130 orbit the area.  It was pretty high, just at the limit of my unaided vision, but the shape and engine noise were pretty distinctive.  I have no idea why it was up there.

Two Chinooks over work.  Heard the first one indoors, made an excuse to go outside & saw it going away from me into the distance.  I was hoping it would come around so I took the long way round back indoors, it didn't, but I was greeted by a second one close & low. <_<
I don't think it's nice, you laughin'. You see, my mule don't like people laughin'. He gets the crazy idea you're laughin' at him. Now if you apologize, like I know you're going to, I might convince him that you really didn't mean it.

A day of clear skies and sunshine brought numerous opportunities to get shots of a few heavies as they flew over or nearby. This B747 is winging across the country from JFK to LAX.

At around 7p.m. tonight through to 7:20 3 airliners flew over my house(1 was a Boeing 767, another was a Boeing 747 while the other one was far away to get a good identification.).

Well, not at my house, but I was out at the Pima Air + Space museum and saw these landing at Davis Monthan AFB.  Not sure if the C-130 is a "H" or "M" type
