Just been standing in the yard at work....we on the approach to Heathrow.....and I have just seen a reasonable size twin engine airliner (not my speciality...know it weren't a 737 n bigger than an A319) with a bright purple'ish fuselage with some writting (I think.....) on it and a rainbow coloured vertical tail......I thought 'thats gotta be a git to paint/decal......thank god I don't do airliners...!!' Colours on fuselage are speculative due to the heavy overcast.....not knowing what a/c it was I can't try n google it to see if I can find a pic of it.....trawled through a fair few on airliners.com

At work just now....

Just went past the window and down the river between 500 - 700ft, two-seat Sea Fury, no idea why, there's no airshows or events on locally that I'm aware of. Nice sight tho' backlit by the afternoon sunshine (it's breezy but very sunny here in the PDRM at the moment).

Was out running the other day and was treated to the low roar of 4 turbo props.  Looked up to see a gunship gray C-130 go over nice and slow leaving 4 exhaust trails

Its not the workbench that makes the model, it is the modeler at the workbench.

Not my house, but the outlaws, there for Fathers Day.  Two Apaches came over, almost directly overhead.
I don't think it's nice, you laughin'. You see, my mule don't like people laughin'. He gets the crazy idea you're laughin' at him. Now if you apologize, like I know you're going to, I might convince him that you really didn't mean it.

"They're b-a-c-k"

At least one, probably two Chinooks arrived at Altcar training camp (about 2km from Schloss Jackson) this afternoon, just for once they didn't 'hold' over or near the house, they made their approach from the east over the fields and orbited just outside the camps' eastern perimeter (well that's how it appeared from my perspective).

Usually they come for joint SAS/SBS exercises out over the rigs in Liverpool Bay.

If I get the chance - very unlikely - I'll cycle over and get some pics tomorrow or Wednesday.

Today is Memorial Day in the US, and there are flybys over the nearby Veteran's Cemetery. I missed a jet flyby, but here are the T-6s that fly by every year:

What, no Tora Tora Tora style Zeroes?

Actually seen over my house for once, an S-58T, and a little bit later a Texan II.

Had two Wokkas cruise down the Severn this morning, at VERY low altitude. So low that I was almost looking down on them from my house and we're 150 ft above sea level! Mind you, sea level in these parts varies by 35 ft depending on the time of day.

I've not seen any aircraft that low for many years, perhaps they've changed the rules about flying near nuclear power stations? Berkeley Power Station is directly across the Severn from me, but it's been de-activated since 1989.
Kit's Rule 1 ) Any aircraft can be improved by fitting longer wings, and/or a longer fuselage
Kit's Rule 2) The backstory can always be changed to suit the model

...and I'm not a closeted 'Take That' fan, I'm a REAL fan! :)
