A pair of Tornados over Dorchester. Too far away to see what type they were, but they were flying North pretty low. I can only assume they'd taken a run at the Lulworth test range.

Damm, and all the time I spent in Dorchester and I never even saw anything like that.

Naaah , the Black copters are too well known, so they've coloured them up so as to disguise them....Now we'll never see the buggers coming

This was the third and *highest* pass by this guy tonight...first one he damn near took the roof off..could've looked into the cockpit. Love seeing 'em, but makes me nervous too, as the little valley I live in is usually teeming with turkey vultures and hawks, with occasional transit of geese...

Could well be! That was right around that time IIRC. I missed the -135s unfortunately :-(

Are you heading to Wings over Pittsburgh? looks to be kinda soggy...

Chris707

Seen over the house today (arrival day for Wings over Pittsburgh) as evident, wx was not terrific. Missed photo opportunities were a B-17, Hornet, 2 DC-3s, and the Geico Skytypers

Cooooooooooooooollllllllllllllllll.
and the -135 was shooting finals at YNG, where the 910th is based.

Tornado

Today at work an AAC Apache flew over just further down the road. I heard a chopper and thought it was the usual police chopper (we're next to two dual carriageways here) but I just turned around in time to see it flying low over the industrial estate.

Still I'm glad I don't have low flying Herks over my house! Although once a power-company owned EC145 flew very low alongside the pylons behind our house after some nasty gales (he was no higher than the pylons). Lucky its open ground there!

A couple of Jet Rangers passed by at the York campus.  Seen a couple of gliders again on the drive home, both flying & parked up.  Saw a pair of Tucanos at the Hull campus, that's unusual as they're more likely to be around York, RAF Linton on Ouse is a stonesthrow away.

Tonka, you've stirred the memory.  As a kid I remember a RAF SAR Wessex putting down in a field right next to me as I was doing my paper round.  Can't have stayed there for more than a minute, then promptly took off again.  No idea why to this day, but my mates wouldn't believe me!  I had it confirmed a short while later when there where a few mutterings in the village about the noise, scared cats etc.  I din't care, I was about 100 yards from it!
I don't think it's nice, you laughin'. You see, my mule don't like people laughin'. He gets the crazy idea you're laughin' at him. Now if you apologize, like I know you're going to, I might convince him that you really didn't mean it.

Last night we drove across the river to Newport News for dinner.  Just before we ducked into the tunnel portion of the MMBT, we spotted a USCG HH-60J and some sort of SAR boat a hundred yards or so away.  Naturally, I didn't have my camera.

Nice KC-10 there!

Helped my dad get his yacht into the water. In the dry-dock at the shipyard, there was a Standard Flex corvette. It was the HDMS Viben. Also in the shipyard, 4 new patrol vessels under construction (also for the Danish navy).

Came home, and i saw an aircraft that was either a KZ III, KZ VII or KZ X.
