Funny you should mention the Northolt Islanders, one came-in on Sunday but parked-up on the far side away from the Photo-call. I first saw one at Blackpool airport in 1990. It was collecting a 'special' passenger and had filed a flight-plan for Belfast

Had a Hind fly over the centre of town this afternoon.

Nice and low, so of course my camera was back at the flat. :banghead:

Three Tucanos came over York University, in Vic formation.  Seeing three Spitfire size prop aircraft in Vic formation, it kind of gave a glimpse back to early war time.
I don't think it's nice, you laughin'. You see, my mule don't like people laughin'. He gets the crazy idea you're laughin' at him. Now if you apologize, like I know you're going to, I might convince him that you really didn't mean it.

I thought that there was an unwritten law that says all wiffers should have thier cameras with suitable zoom lenses on them at all times, in case of situations just like this???

Looks like one of the knobbly nosed ex-Danish Merlins...

They are only used for training though, which is hard to understand, since cockpits in the Danish are more advanced and newer than the RAF Merlins. (the Danish version has no gauges at all in the cockpit)

Lynx AH.9 over York University.  A little distant, so could have been a Navy variant, but I've seen AH.7's over there before.
